November is my favorite month of the year. It has something to do with pumpkins, and holidays, and cooler weather, and a special little someone’s birthday. We have lots for which to be thankful, and November is the perfect time to count our blessings.
I have a couple of theme posts I’m going to do this month.
Theme #1: Spotlighting holiday gift ideas. Christmas is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Thanksgiving, and it never hurts to get your shopping done early. My shopping philosophy is unique, local, and small/family business. If I can do all three, that’s great, but I try to hit at least one when shopping for Christmas. I have several exciting gifts and businesses lined up, but if you have any suggestions, send them on! I love finding great gifts and helping entrepreneurs at the same time. WalMart isn’t going bankrupt any time soon, but the little guy needs our business every day of the year. That’s how our country’s economy was founded, and I, for one, think we should keep it going.
Theme#2: Natural health for the season. I don’t know all there is to know about natural health, but I’ve done quite a bit of experimenting with my own health challenges. I’m going to share some things that have helped me. Not old wives tales, but practical and useful stuff that won’t cause as many problems as they supposedly fix. Side effects, anyone??
And just for fun, here are our pumpkin patch pictures from last week. We are one of “those” people who have way more fun than most people at a free activity.
Post your suggestions for unique gifts that are local (to you) and/or from small, family businesses. Or, if you have some natural health tips, post those, too!
