Is there such a thing as too much spring cleaning? I think so. I mean, when the kids start hiding, maybe you’re just a little too zealous.
Recently, we went through a spring cleaning episode that was totally unplanned. First, the hot water heater decided to croak and then leak. It didn’t leak much, but if you have laminate floor you know that even a little water warps the boards. So, up that section of floor came. Well, we said, that’s okay we’ll take this opportunity to replace our bedroom floor while we have this four foot section in front of the door up. Imagine our delight when we found that our floor was discontinued and nothing else came close to matching it. So, instead of replacing about 16 square feet of boards and getting new floor in our bedroom, now we are replacing the living room and bedroom floor. I’ll do the math for you. Expensive. The end results will be worth it but over our remodeling budget.
What does that have to do with spring cleaning? You wouldn’t believe what we found while we were moving furniture around. Where did all this stuff come from? We are determined that all of it is not coming back in the bedroom. Where it will go is still a topic of debate.
