An Advent Favorite: Bartholomew’s Passage (Kregel Publications , 2009)

Ten-year-old Bartholomew is separated from his family during a Roman raid on his village.  He is sold as a slave but escapes and takes refuge with a religious commune that rescues boys such as himself.  His adventure sets the stage for an exciting read each night, leaving you on the edge of your seat.  But no reading ahead!
