Change happens constantly. In Texas, our winter joke is if you don’t like the weather, wait a few minutes, and it will change. We can have all four seasons in ONE day!
But that kind of change is just a drop in the bucket compared to what is going on in our world today. Can I get a witness?
If you’re a working mom, you probably had some segregation in your life. There was working-at-an-office you and being-a-mom-at-home you. Now, that’s all scrambled up.
Welcome to my world. I’ve worked at an office and from home for eighteen years. I homeschool on the side in my spare time. Ha!
I can certainly sympathize with all the people who had to suddenly begin working from home with a chorus of kids in the background. It’s not easy. Or quiet.
But I can tell you a thing or two about setting up a home office. My real-life job is a tech consultant for small businesses. I’ve spent the last few weeks helping my clients transition to working from home.
Truthfully, about a third of them were already doing it because they’re awesome like that. A small number of them don’t have jobs that will transition to home, unfortunately. Then, the rest got a crash course in installing remote software, logging in, and navigating a different environment. They’re all doing it, though.
Because that’s what you do when life throws rocks at you.
Now, I’m thinking about moms like me who need to work and suddenly need to do it at home. I wrote a guide to computers several years ago called What’s WHAT With Computers? And today, I happened to think that maybe you need some help getting that whole computer and home office thing figured out.
So, I took out a few pages from my manual and threw them into a FREE guide to computers download for you. How does that sound?

You got this, Mom!
